Have you ever wanted something so bad,
Fully custom made for a perfect fit.
It’s different, I know― I used what I had,
You can do almost anything with it but sit.

Last Thursday it was Emma's birthday,
I looked all over in every store.
She did seem keen, so hip-hurray,
I bought her this "you-beaut" table saw.

She sniffed around then looked at me,
Her tiny tail did half a wag.
As if to say, “I love you heaps,
...but this one’s yours, you dag!”

If you like to be by the water,
Currumbin is the place to be.
Locals meet and chat together,
To share how it feels to be free.

Welcome to my Elkhorn family,
Ancient souls which grow with fun.
Watch them grin throughout the day,
Evergreen in cloud or sun.

With gastric last night, I went to bed feeling brittle,
Emma was into her toy box to find the right one.
When she leapt on my chest for a victory wriggle―
She nearly said. “Dad, I'm happy now, so pat me― I’m done.”

Much admiration for these two sharing,
They were early days― some time before.
Two bronze figures, together happily reading,
You just don't see much like that any more.

“There are places I'll remember,
All my life, though some have changed.
Some forever, not for better.
Some have gone and some remain.”

Tiny fingers, tiny hands, that's my Elkhorn family,
Well developed ‘neath the shade from the Sun.
They just keep growing, my little ones― forever happy,
Their history reaches back to our very first dawn.

I was out in the garden wandering,
When every Elkhorn began bending over.
Big and small sizes all hanging out to sing,
Soon listed on Marketplace― might see you there.

My elkhorn family needs their own custom frame,
They should look striking wherever they are.
Tiny, medium, huge, there's no two the same,
Might look super slick on the side of your car.

Sun is fading it’s knock-off time,
Next, little Emma gets her walk.
Returning home, she dines before me,
Tonight's spaghetti Bolognese― You rock!

There's still some more to join these ones,
They'll hang anywhere you'll like them to be.
Meranti timber frames come in four sizes,
Pick a homely spot― in perfect harmony.
