Picture

Trumpie shouted his mates last night,
Three bellies were burst to the brim,
They shaped a global destiny under neon light,
Just Don an' Vlad an' Kim―

Picture

It's a high-flying drama on an open-air stage,
There was this pelican who was sporting a shiner.
The other one flapped, with a mischievous gaze,
About an unpaid bill at the diner.

Picture

Crossing the border is a whole new experience,
The people, the road rules are different.
And a sign writ in public really depends,
On the truth or the twist that’s evident.

Picture

A mother and daughter were swanning about,
When mum quacked her concern on the river.
How some boaties speed along while en-route,
For reasons of beer or wine or liquor.

Picture

Sometimes Emma stops for a break,
Huffing and puffing and cooling a bit.
She likes to run fore an’ aft on the kayak,
Otherwise she‘ll find shade and sit.

Picture

We were down at Budds Beach today,
Soon approached by Council Kooks.
No pleasantries, no warning, just $800 to pay,
“Tie your dog up!”― Making harsh vulture looks.

Picture

It seems warm enough― almost like fire,
Glorious colours with the sky’s deep red light.
Locals wander, to greet cool gusts of air,
The joy of Krill twists and swirls through the night.

Picture

It’s pretty amazing, just what you see,
When you’re out there on an island retreat.
“Oohh, look, there’s a bird in a tree,”
Not really, it’s a shadow and there are my feet!
