Picture

Music covered the coastline this week,
Over 11 days there was celebration.
The Bleach Festival was filled with music,
Songs, and sounds with audience participation.

Picture

People gather for continuous drum beat,
Hollow rhythmic sounds, heard at North Burleigh.
The Bleach festival drummers standing on their feet,
Hear the Gold Coast Taiko team by the sea.

Picture

Ever thought about sparing the air-con,
For a better chance at saving this planet?
No light can enter, all sunlight is gone.
A shop or a cave― where cave dwellers inhabit?

Picture

Water mass is pushing, surging
From every inch of the sea
Reaching solid objects― swishing, swirling
Lost energy over time as it rushes away

Picture

A bike can be your best friend on wheels,
So invaluable when the timing is right.
With the wind against you up and down hills,
Best rides are when it’s cool in low light.

Picture

It’s early morning at Surfers Paradise,
There is almost total stillness on the river.
In a few moments we can catch the sunrise,
And the new day Nature has on offer.

Picture

Flocks of birds are flying past,
Seen from every balcony and window.
And once they pass, it won’t be the last,
With a lifetime of mornings to go.

Picture

The air show is now coming to Australia,
From Huntington beach over there.
Seems a long-long way from California,
Those magnificent flying machines in the air.

Picture

These light aircraft write with trails of smoke,
During the Pacific Air Show Downunder.
It’s going to be an annual flying spectacle,
Planes up, down―  flying with artistic wonder.

Picture

An exciting three day air show,
Keen spectators flock to the shore.
Every size plane that you’d ever know,
It leaves you wondering― what’s next in store?

Picture

The Osprey can do the job of two,
Such an amazing bird in the sky.
It can turn and hover right before you,
Or swing it’s props and pass you by.

Picture

A popular spot for drinks hot or cold,
Here at Southport, Australia Fair.
View the Broadwater just over the road,
From this cosy window-seat chair.

Picture

Waves surge against rocks on the shore,
Pushing upwards with twisting, liquid foam.
Eventually the wave is a wave no more,
Tho’ they are constant― still comin’ home.

Picture

A popular spot is at Burleigh Hill,
Friendly folk come from near and far.
Take a seat and stay as long as you will,
Soft music rolls in with the evening star.

Picture

Each of us share so much in common,
Such a fine time to think by the sea.
Someday we’ll find it that rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Picture

The Water Dragon is a pretty tame lizard,
They often sit in silence for a pose.
Startle a dragon, they soon will have skittered,
Way out of sight, where no-body knows.
