Emma has explored the entire Gold Coast,
Besides Miami to Surfers you see here.
She has walked over land, gone afloat in a boat,
She is chuffed now to achieve her ninth year.

Picture

Sunshine, sandy beaches, what more could you wish for,
Here is a small part of the Gold Coast.
Further North and South there is so much more,
I raise my glass for a Champagne toast.

Picture

Here we have an ideal family spot,
Spellbinding for each generation.
Perfect Burleigh waves― the moonrise is hot,
For Valentines and every other occasion.

Picture

Just across from the Lifeguard tower,
The sun reached out to me.
When it shines with such a glowing power,
You can feel it set you free.

Picture

I tried to make myself disappear,
I looked online for this spray-on stuff.
Now at Burleigh, you can see bits of me appear,
Seems I didn’t spray myself quite enough.

Picture

There’s a plane passing over Burleigh Hill,
Out the other side to Tally Valley.
It searches for a flat spot to land and be still.
I know where they meet, down Coolangatta way.

Picture

Laneways have been dressed up with artwork,
On buildings in Scarborough street.
There’s some colourful spots where shoppers park,
Spray painted messages and pictures complete.

Picture

With not much need for sunnies in Winter,
They sit on the benchtop at home.
They’re on-off-on in Spring, Autumn, Summer,
Those three seasons they won’t leave me alone.

Picture

The sun tries to rise behind clouds at Main Beach,
A few more minutes and it will shine for the day.
You might wonder what it’s up to, while out of reach,
Warming up clouds so they move well away.

Picture

A rising Sun climbs and a new day begins,
After the chill of a moonless dark night.
If you’re keen, you can swim with the dolphins,
In a fresh breeze and a warming sunlight.
