Sorrento seems to be a favourite of mine,
Morning, night, and throughout the day.
Well established gardens and homes look so fine,
A Sorrento sunset will take your breath away.

Have you ever been to Fingal Head,
You can find Boonini the Giant Echidna there.
It goes way back, local tribal leaders said,
Formed by Lismore lava― tossed high, mid-air.
Picture

Sun is setting for a final winter’s day,
After sundown, Fingal Head sings.
There are waves spilling over Giant’s Causeway,
In darkness, Fingal lighthouse swings.
Picture

This trail at Fingal leads to a wide sand track,
The lighthouse shines just beyond the trees.
The trail begins where waves are washing back,
From a cliff part submerged by tidal seas.
Picture

It’s a happy scene ‘round this Pandanus tree,
Which kept rustling in late hours of the night.
Fingal Head, where there is sky, land and sea,
In darkness, comfort, freedom and delight.
Picture

Early morn at Main Beach the east coast comes alive,
Starting at daybreak the sun it lights the way.
Long soft shadows follow you along the beach,
It’s a picture perfect highlight to the day.
Picture

From a spot ashore you can watch the sun rise,
It always occurs early morn.
It changes each and every time it returns,
Once the darkness of night has moved on.
Picture

In the Winter’s breeze, walks are brisk this morning,
Some people stop to watch, where they stand.
There is a spot out to sea―the sun is arriving,
On the horizon, a glowing speck will expand.
Picture

I took some pictures of Evandale being invaded,
By a mini-spaceman and a curly pet in a suit.
I think they’re from Mars, so this may be the end,
Please don’t trust them even though they’re half cute.
Picture

This spot is protected as Aboriginal Council land,
No better a place to splash about in the sea.
From Cook Island or ashore to Giant’s Causeway,
Stone Columns reveal the Giant Echidna― Boonini.
Picture

Whenever the Fingal lighthouse shines,
It beams out from the cliffs up high.
Nightly it warns boats of rocky reefs,
Usually accompanied by stars in the sky.
Picture

Stars are tiny, they’re so far away,
I hear they all move across the sky.
It’s hard to see them in the light of day,
Possibly because in sunshine they’re shy.
Picture

Back at Main Beach more sunshine appears,
A new beginning to a marvellous day.
Thick cloud is blocking some of the rays,
Near perfect if the clouds moved away.
